"Twice a year—at the winter and at the summer solstices—the Lords of Karma convene in the council chambers of this retreat to act upon the petitions of sons and daughters of God and to deliver the cosmic dispensations which come forth from the heart of Alpha and Omega in the Great Central Sun-allotments of energy for the enlightenment and progress of humanity."

Thus, these legions of light and priests come as disciplinarians and as representatives of the World Teachers who will add the mighty violet flame to the teachings given and will instruct in the new awareness of invention and the awareness of just what is in the earth until by and by, through all of this transmutation, there does come to pass in the future the opening up of the physical temples of the Great White Brotherhood to certain of those in embodiment who are able to retain the flame of God-Harmony and enter therein and learn of me and mine even while they are in their physical bodies.

Beloved hearts, we do have our physical retreats in inaccessible places, and we desire to receive students in their physical bodies. Much must transpire before this does come to pass. Even in the hour of the birth of Jesus, I looked to the new day when they would come and also be the liberators of his message, that by the flame of Aquarius the message of all previous avatars, the Buddhas, and the Christed ones would finally and at last be understood and known."

September 30, 1962, the Ascended Master K-17 announced:

"There has been held a beautiful and wonderful session at Chananda’s retreat in India and a decision was made on the part of beloved Paul the Venetian whereby there was transferred from his retreat in France this day, at the hour of eleven o’clock your time, the full pulsation of the great Liberty Flame. This flame was permanently placed within the forcefield of the Washington Monument; and the pulsations of the Liberty Flame are intended to grace the heart of America as a gift from the Brotherhood and from the heart of beloved Paul the Venetian . . .

"It is given as a treasure from the heart of France, from the spiritual government of France to the spiritual government of America . . . The Liberty Flame is a gift of greater magnitude than the former gift of France, the Statue of Liberty, as a tribute to that great being, the Goddess of Liberty.
It is incomparable, for the flame itself shall penetrate the structure of the monument, rising high into the atmosphere above it; and all who visit there shall become, even without knowing it, infused by the pulsations of the Liberty Flame within the heart of America.”

"You must have a constant reminder of your goals. When you look at the whitened obelisk, reminiscent of the alabaster of the City of Light on ancient Atlantis, it ought to remind you of Luxor. But perhaps you think only as far as this nation's capital without remembering that there is a threefold flame."

"One of the greatest cities in the world for outpicturing the alabaster cities of light is Washington D.C. This is due to Saint Germain and George Washington who lowered this matrix into form.

"If you look at the plan of the city, it goes back to the great cities of light that were in the Amazon basin in the great golden age of South America. Washington has all of its central buildings in the theme of white, and if you eliminate the kind of buildings that have been built for greed and for expediency and you look only at the original structures, you will see something very much like what you have known in the etheric temples. That was Saint Germain and Godfre's dream for America."

“You know that the fleur-de-lis is now ensconced as the threefold flame in the Washington Monument. It is powerful, beloved. Remember, it is a focus in this nation. Remember to call upon that flame of liberty and know that all the hosts of Light will be moving with you . . . ”

"The celestial academies that the Jewish mystics write about are what the ascended masters call 'retreats' or 'universities of the Spirit.' They are located in the heaven world, known as the etheric plane. As your soul takes leave of your body while you sleep at night, you can travel to these academies to study with angels and masters of wisdom who have gained mastery in their fields of specialization.

"If you keep your mind and heart attuned to the sendings of your soul, you may recall the lessons you have learned at night in the etheric retreats or you may awaken in the morning with a clear direction to do this or that. You may even feel that the burdens you have prayed to God about the night before are resolved, or you will arise knowing precisely what steps to take to resolve them.

"Keep a journal with pen or pencil handy on your nightstand. Record instructions and revelations you receive right away, either when you are awakened in the night or when you arise in the morning. Some dreams are encoded material presented symbolically by your Holy Christ Self. You can ask your Holy Christ Self to decode your dreams and to show you how to apply their lessons to your daily life. Sift through the material and act on what feels right to you and is consistent with ethical standards. Then discard what is neither plausible nor rational."

"And if you will place upon your walls and in your homes pictures of majestic beauty and of light and scenes of paradise, you will find that elementals will gather to meditate upon these focuses of light and will go forth to outpicture peace and the purification of the elements—of the seas and the earth and the air. And with some cooperation of hearts of light, there will be a cleaning up of the environment and of pollution."

" . . . Oneness with the Divine Mother as She does appear to you in our (the ascended hosts) varied manifestations does establish within you the electromagnetic field of the divine polarity of the Mother; and that powerful magnet that does have the minus coefficient does then become to you the means of attracting the Father—therefore Divine Wholeness and therefore [the] escape from time and space which does trap astral debris.

" . . . Not without forethought by Almighty God was the Retreat of the Divine Mother—that does appear to you even as the City Foursquare over this property—established here. Thus that retreat has magnetized you, even as you have magnetized it, that in this place and in this Earth that manifestation might be the balance that is needed for millions in the hour of their personal and planetary initiations."



Note: Focuses of the masculine and feminine rays of the Godhead are at the etheric retreats of Lord Himalaya and the God and Goddess Meru respectively. On Oct. 10, 1988 Elohim Hercules said that because the physical area of Lake Titicaca in the Andes (where the feminine ray should be anchored physically) is covered over with astral substance, the Royal Teton Ranch "must suffice" as "the [physical] focus of the feminine ray to the Earth here in the Northern Rockies...until the dark period of Earth's travail does pass."

"My pillar of fire in northern California in the very heart of the light of Half Dome is an energy that
I have established for the preservation of the golden light remnant of Lemuria embodied upon this soil, vibrating within this state. California 'represents, in its incarnations of souls and in the frequencies of the light anchored here, the Alpha and the Omega of the original thrust of the embodied root races—the first, second, and third.'"

In a dictation on October 14, 1974, Paul the Venetian invited us to his retreat in southern France, the Château de Liberté. Beloved Paul said:

"I will take you by the hand and show you my castle. I will show you the works of art that have been brought forth by chelas unascended and ascended. And we will go through many rooms, and lastly I will take you to the room where there is that frame that hangs. In some cases it will be an empty frame, in some cases it will have a canvas in it. It will be your frame, the frame of your identity waiting for you to bring forth the genius of your soul. And when you see that frame, if it is empty, you will want to fill it. And so I will take you to that place, ‘The Atelier,’ where you can work with other artisans who are learning the art of living Love by the discipline of the hand and the discipline of expression so that you can draw the image of your own Christ-perfection.

"And when it is the best that you have to offer, it will be placed in your frame. And when you come again before that frame after many months of purging and self-purification, you will say undoubtedly, ‘Beloved Paul, may I have another opportunity to express my Christhood, to draw the image of myself? For I have perceived a new aspect of that image, and I would like to have this, my best offering, now placed in my frame.’ And, of course, you will have the opportunity.”

Retreats. Focuses of the Great White Brotherhood chiefly on the etheric plane where the Ascended Masters preside. Retreats anchor one or more flames of the Godhead as well as the momentum of the Masters’ service and attainment for the balance of light in the four lower bodies of a planet and its evolutions. Retreats serve many functions for the councils of the hierarchy ministering to the lifewaves of earth. Some retreats are open to unascended mankind, whose souls may journey to these focuses in their etheric body between their incarnations on earth and in their finer bodies (during sleep or samadhi).

Many of the Masters’ retreats, including their mystery schools, were anchored in the physical plane during earth’s earlier golden ages and even after the Great Rebellion of the fallen angels and the Fall. In the face of desecration and destruction of their shrines, the Masters withdrew their centers and their flames to the etheric plane, hence the term “retreat.” Following the ascension of the Messenger Mark L. Prophet on February 26, 1973, the children of God were given renewed opportunity from the Lords of Karma to balance their karma by attending classes at the retreats of the Seven Chohans, the Maha Chohan, and the World Teachers.

On January 1, 1986, Gautama Buddha and the Lords of Karma granted a petition of the Lords of the Seven Rays to open universities of the Spirit in their etheric retreats for tens of thousands of students to systematically pursue the path of self-mastery on the seven rays. Traveling in their finer bodies during sleep, students spend fourteen days at each of the retreats of the Chohans and the Maha Chohan.
