The Communist Takeover Of America—45 Declared Goals
[From "The Naked Communist," by Cleon Skousen, 1970]

1. U.S. acceptance of coexistence as the only alternative to atomic war.

2. U.S. willingness to capitulate in preference to engaging in atomic war.

3. Develop the illusion that total disarmament [by] the United States would be a demonstration of moral strength.

4. Permit free trade between all nations regardless of Communist affiliation and regardless of whether or not items could be used for war.

5. Extension of long-term loans to Russia and Soviet satellites.

6. Provide American aid to all nations regardless of Communist domination.

7. Grant recognition of Red China. Admission of Red China to the U.N.

8. Set up East and West Germany as separate states in spite of Khrushchev's promise in 1955 to settle the German question by free elections under supervision of the U.N.

9. Prolong the conferences to ban atomic tests because the United States has agreed to suspend tests as long as negotiations are in progress.

10. Allow all Soviet satellites individual representation in the U.N.

11. Promote the U.N. as the only hope for mankind. If its charter is rewritten, demand that it be set up as a one-world government with its own independent armed forces. (Some Communist leaders believe the world can be taken over as easily by the U.N. as by Moscow. Sometimes these two centers compete with each other as they are now doing in the Congo.)

12. Resist any attempt to outlaw the Communist Party.

13. Do away with all loyalty oaths.

14. Continue giving Russia access to the U.S. Patent Office.

15. Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States.

16. Use technical decisions of the courts to weaken basic American institutions by claiming their activities violate civil rights.

17. Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers' associations. Put the party line in textbooks.

18. Gain control of all student newspapers.

19. Use student riots to foment public protests against programs or organizations which are under Communist attack.

20. Infiltrate the press. Get control of book-review assignments, editorial writing, policy-making positions.

21. Gain control of key positions in radio, TV, and motion pictures.

22. Continue discrediting American culture by degrading all forms of artistic expression. An American Communist cell was told to "eliminate all good sculpture from parks and buildings, substitute shapeless, awkward and meaningless forms."

23. Control art critics and directors of art museums. "Our plan is to promote ugliness, repulsive, meaningless art."

24. Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them "censorship" and a violation of free speech and free press.

25. Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio, and TV.

26. Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as "normal, natural, healthy."

27. Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with "social" religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity, which does not need a "religious crutch."

28. Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the ground that it violates the principle of "separation of church and state."

29. Discredit the American Constitution by calling it inadequate, old-fashioned, out of step with modern needs, a hindrance to cooperation between nations on a worldwide basis.

30. Discredit the American Founding Fathers. Present them as selfish aristocrats who had no concern for the "common man."

31. Belittle all forms of American culture and discourage the teaching of American history on the ground that it was only a minor part of the "big picture." Give more emphasis to Russian history since the Communists took over.

32. Support any socialist movement to give centralized control over any part of the culture —education, social agencies, welfare programs, mental health clinics, etc.

33. Eliminate all laws or procedures which interfere with the operation of the Communist apparatus.

34. Eliminate the House Committee on Un-American Activities.

35. Discredit and eventually dismantle the FBI.

36. Infiltrate and gain control of more unions.

37. Infiltrate and gain control of big business.

38. Transfer some of the powers of arrest from the police to social agencies. Treat all behavioral problems as psychiatric disorders which no one but psychiatrists can understand [or treat].

39. Dominate the psychiatric profession and use mental health laws as a means of gaining coercive control over those who oppose Communist goals.

40. Discredit the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity and easy divorce.

41. Emphasize the need to raise children away from the negative influence of parents. Attribute prejudices, mental blocks and retarding of children to suppressive influence of parents.

42. Create the impression that violence and insurrection are legitimate aspects of the American tradition; that students and special-interest groups should rise up and use ["]united force["] to solve economic, political or social problems.

43. Overthrow all colonial governments before native populations are ready for self-government.

44. Internationalize the Panama Canal.

45. Repeal the Connally reservation so the United States cannot prevent the World Court from seizing jurisdiction [over domestic problems. Give the World Court jurisdiction] over nations and individuals alike.

"There is only one way to tackle the beast and that is to dissect it. There is only one way to tackle the dragon that gives power to the beast and that is to analyze, dissect, and take it quarter by quarter, section by section. Thus, in the fashion of the expert butcher who knows the parts of the animal and the meat he will cut, you will also become experts in the parts of this dragon and in the parts of the beasts to which the dragon does give its power."

" . . . the Communist hordes came and the fertile brain of Karl Marx expounded the philosophy of the damned that would ignore karmic law, the law of recompense that justly conveys to each lifestream the fruit of his own labors. Thus men sought to legislate against heaven and to provide in the world a form of social salvation—housing for bodies, food for bodies, dialectical materialism for minds, side by side with invective, maldesign, and social unrest which were intended to destroy the matrix of the invisible world, to destroy man's rights to spiritual freedom, to force him into a smothering state wherein the social order would take complete dominion over his life.

"Instead of being rid of this blight, the world today is even more steeped in it. The dogmas of Communism have invaded the Church as the powers of darkness have sought to spread a web of confusion over the minds of men, thus, in the name of brotherhood, to deprive them of their freedom.

"The cooperation of individuals in high places with the forces of darkness has imposed upon mankind today in the bookstalls of the world, in the theater, in the places of learning, through communication media of television and radio, the strange semantics of those who seek the control of the minds of men for whatever parcel of reality they deem worthy of their energies. Thus the voices of the damned proclaim a false freedom, and the innocent together with the guilty become carrion abominators—denying the Christ, denying the Light of the world, denying peace and goodwill to men.

"The warlords of the world, united with the financial interests, have made merchandise of true culture. The teachings of the great men of letters, of prophets, of minstrels of the Spirit, of the great musicians of old, of great painters and sculptors is in a state of decay; for the world has entered the madness of the spoilers and the sensuality of the purveyors of enervating and senseless thrill to the hurt of men.

"In the Book of Revelation allusion is made to the fact that the stingers are in their tails, and veritably in the tails of men, in the lower order of their consciousness, have the forces sought to bring down this nation as fallen Pompeii. Freedom and democracy are less enshrined as the days pass, and the high-court decisions of the United States have defrauded men of the necessary protection of law and order in a land where men are not yet trained withal to understand the laws of karma and that they are indeed their brothers' keepers.

"Now, then, with all of this destructive manifestation and the resultant decisions made by the Lords of Karma, we say to every son of heaven, to everyone who loves freedom, who desires to see it sustained either in his own personal world or in the worlds of men: now is not the time to loll indolently and to say, 'So what?' or 'What can I do about it?' Now is the hour of reckoning when men must continue to plight their faith in the purposes of Almighty God, regardless of the world's madness.

"Take no example from the decadent. Pursue not with them the same 'riots to destruction.'
Set your course by the stars, by the light of your Presence, by the compassion of the Christ, by recognition of the seamless garment of universality, by the sinless state that holds to the proclamation of God that life is good and beautiful.

"Be a Rock of Ages, be immovable in Christ, abound with the joie de vivre that always rests in faith in Godly ideals. Lot joyed not in the doings of the men of Sodom. Therefore, you need not rejoice in the doings of men, nor should you be moved by them; but remain steadfast, immovable to the perfection of your Presence.

"These tests that we have said would come, have come; and even if they worsen, the power of heaven is able to summon the invincible, God-victorious cosmic honor flame that precedes the manifestation of cosmic purpose because it sustains cosmic purpose in mind and heart. The light of God never fails, and therefore the Great White Brotherhood will continue to espouse those ideals for mankind which in moments of weakness they cannot express for themselves.

"The tendency on the part of humanity to mimic one another has lowered standards of conduct as the infection of sensual disorder and carelessness in dress reduces the hopes of men for heaven in this age. What need have they for heaven? Are they not in communion with the sensuality which they crave, which reeks of a depravity they know not of, but in which they are content as unperceived error? When it is too late they will glimpse it. But we are concerned for those who are able to see it and shun it today, who are reaching out and up for the energy that can yet save the age—that can yet deliver the world.

"Not by an individual Messianic concept do we seek to heal the breach, but by recognition that many sons of light serving together as invokers of the Cosmic Presence, serving with hierarchy and with the Karmic Board, can yet put a finger in the dike of world karma and produce a spiritual renaissance through the teachings which must be carefully formed, preserved, exhibited in a proper setting, and extended as a chalice of hope to a waiting world."

"Listen to my question: Who decided the death of thousands and thousands of Vietnamese after America pulled out? Who decided the death of a million Cambodians who have been lost in the past year? You say, 'The Communists decided their death. They murdered them.' I say, nay! Nay, it is the free people! It is the people to whom is passed the torch of initiation. You who were not there keeping the flame. Upon you, America, is the burden of this karma. For you knew the intent of the enemy. You knew the doctrine of the enemy. You knew the avowed doctrine of world take-over and world conquest. And you knew the writing of history—that every nation that has been taken over by Communism has murdered the life, the light of the leaders in government, in the military, and in the professions. "Therefore, who made the decision? According to cosmic law, the people who have the highest level of initiation have a much greater commitment and responsibility. Given two lifestreams, the one with greater attainment makes greater karma for the same mistake. This is the law. To them to whom is given much, much is expected."

"Serpent presents to the woman the illogical logic of the fallen one Lucifer, the counterpoint of the Logos (the Mind of Christ): 'Hath God said ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? and the woman said unto the Serpent, we may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden, but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it lest ye die. And the Serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die. For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods knowing good and evil.

"And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired, to make one wise . . . she saw that the manifestation of the Trinity in the tree of life, had corollary aspects for the adornment of the outer self. We find that Satan tempted Eve to partake of the energies of the Father, the Son and of the Holy Spirit, the power, the wisdom, and the love of God, and the use of these to perpetuate the self-centered existence outside of God.

" . . . Now we move from the Serpent in the Garden, from the Law of Moses, from the Statutes of God, from all of this history of the Children of Israel which I have presented to you in previous lectures, and we trace the lie of the Serpent specifically, to the Big Lie invented by Satan. And I tell you that is the name of it. It's the Big Lie. The Big Lie is World Communism.

" . . . Marx's dialectical materialism is founded upon this subtle Satanic lie first originated and spoken to the woman in the garden.

" . . . Let's take a very close look at Marx. The name itself begins with 'M' that is the 'M' of Mother. The second letter of the word 'a' is for Alpha or first cause. And 'r' is a letter meaning ray, rrrrrrrr, it's the ray of light, and wherever that 'r' is manifest it implies the manifestation of the Son. So we here have Mother, Father, and Son. But then what do we find? We find at the end of the word, not the cosmic cross of white fire, but the 'x'. And the 'x' is always the symbol of Satan canceling out the Trinity, crossing out the Christ in you . . . So the very name is a warning to us that this individual has come for a single purpose, to X out the Trinity in the sons and daughters of God.

" . . . Those who have been behind the manifestation of this dialectical materialism have known exactly the end from the beginning: The destruction and the death of the souls of sons and daughters of God . . . Mechanization man is the goal of dialectical materialism . . . Dialectical materialism is the underlying rationale of the religion of Anti-Christ.

" . . . Was Marx a Satanist? Was it all a pretense, this passionate sympathy for the injured and insulted laboring masses? The only injured and insulted one to benefit from Marx's doctrine is Satan himself. Marx's sympathy is for the Devil . . . Marx knew that the Second Death was coming for him, and the one that dictated this passage to him, Satan himself, knew also, his time had come.

" . . . Listen to his own words, quote, 'I wish to avenge myself against the one who rules above. Heaven I've forfeited, I know it full well. My soul once true to God is chosen for Hell.' That is the full awareness of the Arch Deceivers of mankind. They're called the First Class Watchers. The top level angels who fell with Lucifer and took embodiment knew this principle fully. 'I wish to avenge myself against the one who rules above. Heaven I've forfeited, I know it full well. My soul once true to God is chosen for Hell.' For the Second Death. Marx was not an Atheist. Marx believed in God and hated Him."

"You can well understand the determination of El Morya that economic sanctions must be waged against the Soviet Union and all who are a part of the dragon of World Communism. You must realize that while you have life and the energy of the dynamic decree, Elohim command that there be organization and a movement and the spreading abroad of the message, so that millions of people who recognize this state of injustice may do something about it before it is too late for the entire human race.

" . . . Somehow, insulated in this nation by a wall that keeps its people separate from the realities of the world, there must be a breakthrough. Somehow there must be a shattering of that which separates your awareness, on a day-to-day and an hourly basis, from such colossal human suffering that you cannot rest until you have done your part in each and every day to make this planetary body a safe habitation, that souls might live, breathe the air of freedom, and not have the very elements contaminated before they can fight a good fight against an enemy!

" . . . We applaud the efforts of those individuals who have gone after this testimony. And we call forth the judgment upon those in government who will not see!—and therefore will bring upon this very soil and this very nation those same components that they have allowed to go unchecked and unnoticed abroad in the world.

"The exposure of the United Nations Security Council, having in the hands of the Soviet Union the veto power on any and all resolution, is something that must be pursued. To hear it on a public broadcasting system, to hear it abroad in the land through the medium that you have just heard, is a great step in the right direction. Since the formation of the United Nations, those who have been so-called liberal in their views have desired to have this fact unknown.

It is our desire to make very clear to all who are in attendance here and all who will hear these recordings of our word that the warfare is, that you are in the midst of it, that it is more deadly than you care to contemplate or to realize, that you must not be shortsighted as others are! You must plan for a future. For surely, the goal that we have placed before you will take more than one lifetime to fulfill—that goal of the establishment of the community of the Holy Spirit and all that is to come to pass at the Inner Retreat. "Beloved hearts, this vigil does begin this day and hour for the protection of the government and the representatives of the United States against the inroads of the strategies of darkness of these fallen ones who come with their begging bowls for light and who ought—instead of receiving the combined technology and wealth of the West earned at inner levels by chelaship—to receive the call of the judgment as you have given it and not be filled with the light which they have already stolen by the very blood of the lightbearers and which is not theirs by self-mastery or commitment to the Word.

"These vicious forces have continued in an unmitigated manner to move against the Light and the ‘Lightbearers’. There is no change in the deadly intent. "Therefore, this quarter itself will become a perpetual prayer vigil for the binding of these forces, and you shall become experts in wielding the flame of freedom and forgiveness. And if you will, by my chelaship you may enter the heart of Kuan Yin and find yourself forevermore a part of her flame, her presence, and her mantle—as another flower of mercy added to the immensity of her heart chakra in the name of the Buddha.

"Thus, we draw you in by assimilation, and we call you to take up the burden of the Guru. For this is always the assignment of the chela. When you arrive at the gate of the Guru’s house to apprentice yourself to the Master, you will take up the burden of his labor, his farm, his household, his duties, his life-style.

"Thus, in taking up the burden of Kuan Yin, you see that the forces of World Communism in China are pitted directly against the heart of Mercy, the Mother of Mercy, and the very hearts of the lightbearers of mainland China and Taiwan. It is Kuan Yin who is crucified daily by every deed of murder and desecration and rape of the Woman and her seed perpetrated by the fallen ones in the worldwide Communist movement. These desecrations, beloved hearts, go on and are not stopped, whether in Afghanistan or in Honduras, because the powers-that-be in the West are at a loss to understand their own political equation or that of World Communism and how to become the very stalwart defense against this encroachment.

"Our hearts are burdened, yet we have already seen the handwriting on the wall and knew very
well what was to be expected in the shooting of the American pilot in Honduras by the Sandinistas
of Nicaragua. Realize, beloved hearts, that this act of brutality and murder, which is not within the honor of war itself but a brutality beyond—of Antichrist against the living Christ—is equal to that of the downing of the Korean plane, the rationale being the same and the excuse the same: perhaps the plane wandered over their borders for a moment. They knew very well this plane was not carrying out any act of aggression against Nicaragua.

"Beloved hearts of living fire, this news is reported as routine, and I tell you it is not routine. It is an act of declaration of war by Nicaragua against the United States of America, and to fail to declare war on Nicaragua shows the erosion of the honor flame in this government!

"You may act and react to my remarks in a surprised manner, but understand that in all history the assassination of official representatives of one’s government or military has been the cause of war. Thus, beloved hearts, there is fear, there is anxiety. There is always the looking for compromise, appeasement, or to accept the excuses of the perpetrators of these vile acts—anything to avoid the confrontation.

"The strategies of war are not understood, and therefore you will study Sun Tzu and The Art of War. You will come to understand that every sign of weakness is turning over to the enemy additional ground.
